王子駅の側の、北区立飛鳥山公園の東側、JRの線路沿いにある「飛鳥の小径（約３５０ｍ）」にアジサイが開花中です。まだ、満開ではないですが、一部かれている所も見られます。「飛鳥の小径」には、約１３００株のアジサイが植えられています。飛鳥山の台地のふもとの、崖の下にアジサイは群生しています。

【Hydrangea from Asukayama Park】

On the east side of Asukayama Park on the side of Oji station, hydrangea is flowering at "Asuka's small diameter (about 350 m)" along the JR railroad track. Although it is not yet in full bloom, you can also see some parts. About 1300 shares of hydrangea are planted in "Asuka's small diameter". Hydrangea are clustered under the cliffs at the foot of the Asiyama mountain plateau.

飛鳥山の歴史は古く、約３００年前、将軍・徳川吉宗が享保の改革の施策の一つとして、江戸っ子達の行楽の地とするため、花見が出来るように桜の木を沢山植えてから、本格的な行楽地として有名になった。
明治６年には、日本最初の公園に指定された。
澁澤栄一の史料館や、紙の博物館（抄紙会社「後の王子製紙王子工場」の発電所の建物を利用）その他の施設がある。
飛鳥山古墳群飛鳥山公園の台地上に、円墳郡である飛鳥山古墳群が作られていた。行田の「埼玉古墳群」付近を本拠とする氏族により統治されていた。
飛鳥山古墳群は、開拓者の首長が自ら切り開いた耕作地帯を眼下に見下ろす台地上に構築した古墳群である。飛鳥山公園内には、円墳が合計６基見つかっている。

Asukiyama tomb group Asukiyama burial mound group which is a circular tomb county was made on the plateau of Asuka mountain park. It was governed by clans based in the vicinity of "Saitama burial mound group" of Gyoda.
Asukayama burial mound group is an ancient tomb group built on a plateau overlooking a cultivated area that the head of the pioneer himself opened up. A total of six circular mounds are found in Asukayama Park.
