【下谷神社例大祭】

下町で一番早い“夏祭り”とされている「下谷神社大祭」は、1000年以上の歴史のある祭りです。「本祭り」と「陰祭り」が隔年に行われている。
平成30年は「本祭り」にあたるので、本社神輿（千貫神輿と言われ、台輪124㎝、高さ306㎝）を担いでの渡御を行う。5月13日（日）には約7000人の担ぎ手により、氏子区域（29町会が各分担エリアを担ぐ）を渡御します。
来年は「陰祭り」で、山車で曳航されての巡行となります。
下谷神社は奈良時代に創建され、都内で最も古い「お稲荷様」です。当神社は昔から「正一位下谷稲荷社」と称し祀られていたので、この時からこの町を稲荷町と呼ぶようになった。（銀座線の駅名にもなっている）
明治5年に、神社名を「下谷神社」と改めた。

【Shitaya Shrine Exception Festival】

"Shitaya Shrine Festival" which is said to be the earliest "summer festival" in downtown is a festival with a history of more than 1000 years. "Festival" and "Shrine festival" are held every other year.
Since Heisei 30 is "Festival", it will take over with a headquarters shrine mikoshi (it is said to be a Senbun shrine mikoshi, 124 cm of Taiwan, 306 cm of height). On May 13th (Sunday), about 7,000 people will carry the Mrs. child area (29 town councils will carry each share area).
Next year is "Shrine festival", it will be a touring of a float car.
Shimotani Shrine was established in the Nara era and is the oldest "Inari shrine" in Tokyo. Since this shrine has long been worshiped as "the first place Shimodani Inari Shrine", since this time I came to call this town Inari shi. (It is also the station name of the Ginza line)
In 1856, the name of the shrine was changed to "Shimodani Shrine".
