【別所沼公園】

沼の周辺は、約８万㎡の別所沼公園として整備されております。
大宮台地が浸食されて、谷底低地から湧き出した水が溜まり、沼になったものと考えられています。かつては、ウナギも生息しており、江戸時代には浦和宿の名物として知られていました。
別所沼は河川と接続していませんので、ウナギは放流されたもので、自然生息ではありません。
さいたま市の設置を記念して、埼玉県から浦和市に、合併後はさいたま市に自動的に継承されました。
紅葉には、ほんの少しだけ早かったかと思いましたが、秋の休日に釣り糸を垂れて、ユックリ楽しんでいる親子が見られました。
春は、有数の桜の名所としても知られています。

【弘前ねぷた浅草祭り】

“ねぶた祭り”と言えば、青森を思い浮かべる方が多いと思います　浅草でも“ねぷた祭り”を体験出来るのをご存知でしょうか？　２０１１年に始まった「弘前ねぷた浅草祭り」は今年で８回目となりすっかり浅草の秋の年中行事となりました。
当日は、りんごを始めとした、特産品を並べた物産展も開かれました。
