【染井吉野】

日本の桜の代表品種である“ソメイヨシノ”は、江戸時代の幕末にオオシマザクラとエドヒガンザクラを交配させた品臭改良の桜と言われています。その発祥の地が江戸染井村です。この界隈には、植木職人が多く住んでいたそうです。染井村を代表する植木職人として、江戸時代から明治後期まで活躍した丹羽家の邸宅跡が、“門と蔵のある広場”として残されています。
この門（旧丹羽家腕木門）は、染井通りを挟んで向かい側にあった、津藩藤堂家下屋敷の裏門が移築されたものと言われています。

花咲か七軒町植木の里は、昔、家作が七軒あったので、その名が起こったと言うことで、染井七軒町とも呼ばれた。染井霊園は、播州林田藩（兵庫県）建部家のお抱え屋敷跡地で、現在は都営霊園です。園内には、１００本程のソメイヨシノが植えられ、桜の名所です。

[Somei Yoshino]

It is said that "Somei Yoshino", a representative variety of Japanese cherry blossoms, is a cherry blossom improvement cabinet made by crossing Oshimazakura and Ed Higanzakura at the end of the Edo era. Edo dyii village is the birthplace of its origin. It seems that many plants and craftsmen lived in this neighborhood. As a planting craftworker representing Dakei village, the Niwa family residence that was active from the Edo period until the late Meiji era is left as "a square with gates and a storage."
It is said that this gate (the former Niwa family Kamiki gate) was located opposite the side of Daisui Avenue, the back gate of the Tsu clan Todo family shimoyashiki was relocated.

Hanasaka or Seven - machi town Uki no Sato used to be called Daisai Seven - machi by saying that the name had happened because there were seven householdies in the past. Shikai cemetery garden, Banshu Hayashida clan (Hyogo prefecture) It is the site of the building housemaker's house, now it is a metropolitan cemetery. In the park, about 100 Somei Yoshino cherry trees are planted and it is a cherry blossoming spot.
