【湯島天神：梅まつり】

　湯島天神参道の入り口。なだらかな坂になっておりますが、落語の『柳田格之進』の舞　　　台になっているところです。
「万屋徳兵衛さんが、年始回りの帰りに、湯島天神の切通しで、
　主家の帰参が叶った柳田格之進と再会します。柳田格之進も坂を難　儀をしながら登って来たのだろうか。」
　旧町名で「切通坂町」と言われた。
　湯島天神は、江戸時代より「梅の名所」として、多くの庶民に親し　まれ来た。
　昭和33年より「梅まつり」は開催され、今年で61回目です。期間　　中、延べ40万人の賑わいとなるそうです。
　梅の本数は、20種約300本。（8割が白梅）　樹齢は約70～80年の　木が中心。
　梅まつり期間中は色々なイベントが行われている。ライトアップは　3月8日19：30まで

【Yushima Tenjin: Ume Festival】

Yushima Tenjin came to be familiar to many common people as "Plum Plaza" from the Edo period.
"Mei Festival" was held from 1964, this is the 61st time this year.
It is said that 400,000 people will be full of bustle during the period.
The number of plums is about 300 species of 20 species. (80% white plum) The age is mainly about 70 to 80 years old trees.
