【三社祭】
　Sanja Festival

三社様の名で親しまれている浅草神社の祭礼として
「三社祭」が下記の日程にて開催された。

5月17日（木）の本社神輿神霊入れの儀
5月18日（金）の各町内会神輿神霊入れの儀、他舞いの奉納
5月19日（土）の町内会神輿連合渡御、他舞いの奉納
5月20日（日）の本社神輿各町渡御、他舞いの奉納、太鼓奉演

三社とは、浅草神社の旧称の三社権現社に由来する名称で、江戸の下町風情を感じさせる威勢の良い華やかな祭りです。
中世の田楽舞の伝統を受け継ぐ古楽舞の「びんざさら舞」は、東京都の無形民俗文化財に指定されています。（来年撮影挑戦予定）・江戸時代以前は、浅草寺と一体をなしていたが、明治の初めの神仏分離の法令発令後は、浅草寺と別になり、明治元年に三社明神社、同5年に浅草神社と改称された。
三社様、三社権現の名で親しまれている。
推古朝36年（628年）に、隅田川で漁労中、浅草寺本尊の“観音像”をすくい上げた、漁師の桧前浜成（ひのくまはまなり）、竹成（たけなり）の兄弟と、その像を自宅に奉安した当時、郷土の文化人であった、土師真中知（はじのなかとも）の3人を神として祀り、三社権現と称した。世間一般では、神社と寺は全く別物のようですが、浅草寺と浅草神社の場合は、このゆかりから、
切っても切れない間柄なのです。

The three companies are names that derive from the former name of Asakusa Shrine's three company authority, which is a grandiose and ornate festival that makes you feel the downtown atmosphere of Edo.
