【北浦和公園】

緑豊かな北浦和公園（１９５０年以降、埼玉大学文理学部のキャンパスが置かれていました。
埼玉大学は１９６４年に、現在の下大久保へ移転を始めた。その跡地が公園として整備され、１９７４年に開設された。）
この北浦和公園に１９８２年に開館した、埼玉県立近代美術館は海外の巨匠から、日本の現代作家まで、優れた美術作品をコレクションして展示しています。
また、館舎は建築家の故・黒川紀章氏の設計です。
椅子の美術館としても知られており、館内では数多くの名作椅子に座ることが出来ます。

この県立近代美術館で、「第４３回・埼玉書道三十人展」が３／１３～３／１８まで開かれました。（毎日新聞：さいたま支局等が後援）

第一線で活躍する県内在住の書家の中から流派や所属団体を超え、実力本位で選ばれた最高峰の３０人が出品しました。

【Kitaurawa Park】

Green lush Kitaurawa Park (Since 1950, the campus of Saitama University Faculty of Letters was located.
