【上野恩賜公園の桜】

現在のような桜の名所としての道を歩み始めたのは、江戸時代の初期です。天海僧正が上野の山の景観向上のため、奈良・吉野山から山桜の苗を取り寄せて、寛永寺山内に植えさせたのが最初とされる。その後、吉宗が江戸各所に桜を植え花見を奨励し、現在に近い形の花見が庶民に広まった。その後、数多の困難を経つつも、地域の人々などの手によって桜は植え継がれ、現在の形にまで育成・整備されてきた。
2006年には、上野の桜を守り、育て、学ぶ目的で「上野桜守の会」が上野地区有志によって結成され、現在ある桜の健康管理、若木の育成、その他勉強会などを行っているそうです。
我々が毎年楽しく桜を見ることが出来るのも、有しの方々の影の努力無しには有り得ないことです。

After that, while many difficulties, cherry blossoms have been planted by hands of local people and have been nurtured and maintained to the present shape.
In 2006, "Ueno Sakuramo no Kai" was formed by volunteers of the Ueno district for the purpose of defending, raising and learning the cherry blossoms in Ueno, he is doing the current cherry blossom health care, young trees and other study sessions is.
It is impossible for us to have a fun cherry blossom viewing every year without the efforts of the people we have.
